Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Little Hearts LA. By enrolling your child in our daycare center, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read these carefully before proceeding with enrollment.

1. Enrollment and Acceptance

  • Enrollment is subject to availability and completion of all required documentation, including health records, emergency contact information, and signed enrollment agreements.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or terminate enrollment at our discretion, particularly where we cannot adequately meet a child's needs or when payment obligations are not met.
  • All children must be fully immunized according to state requirements unless exempted by valid medical or religious documentation.

2. Fees and Payment

  • Tuition fees are due on the first day of each month and must be paid in advance, as per your enrollment agreement.
  • A non-refundable registration fee is required upon enrollment.
  • Fees are charged regardless of absences, holidays, or center closures due to circumstances beyond our control.
  • We reserve the right to increase fees with 30 days' written notice.

3. Hours of Operation

  • Our standard operating hours are specified in your enrollment agreement.
  • Late pick-up fees of $1 per minute will be charged for children picked up after closing time.
  • We observe major holidays and will provide advance notice of any scheduled closures.

4. Health and Safety

  • Children who exhibit symptoms of illness (fever, vomiting, diarrhea, contagious rash, etc.) must be kept at home until symptom-free for 24 hours without medication.
  • In case of emergency, we will contact parents/guardians immediately. If unreachable, we will contact emergency contacts and/or seek appropriate medical attention.
  • Parents must inform us of any allergies, medical conditions, or special needs their child may have.
  • We maintain a safe, clean environment and comply with all state licensing requirements.

5. Medication Policy

  • All medications must be in original containers with proper labeling and accompanied by written authorization from a parent/guardian.
  • We can only administer medications as directed by a physician and with proper documentation.

6. Authorized Pick-Up

  • Children will only be released to authorized individuals listed on the enrollment form.
  • Photo identification is required for pick-up, especially for individuals unfamiliar to our staff.
  • Parents must notify us in writing of any changes to authorized pick-up individuals.

7. Withdrawal and Termination

  • Parents must provide at least two weeks' written notice before withdrawing their child from the program.
  • Little Hearts LA reserves the right to terminate enrollment for non-payment, violation of policies, or behavior that threatens the safety of children or staff.

8. Liability and Insurance

  • While we take every precaution to ensure child safety, Little Hearts LA is not liable for injuries sustained during normal play and activities, except in cases of proven negligence.
  • We maintain appropriate liability insurance as required by state law.
  • Personal belongings brought from home are the responsibility of the parent/guardian.

9. Behavioral Expectations

  • We expect parents and guardians to treat our staff with respect and professionalism at all times.
  • Children are expected to follow our center's behavioral guidelines. Persistent behavioral issues will be addressed through collaboration with parents.

10. Photography and Media

  • We may take photographs or videos of children for educational purposes, documentation, and promotional materials.
  • Parents who do not wish their child to be photographed must provide written notice.

11. Communication

  • Parents are responsible for providing current contact information and notifying us immediately of any changes.
  • We will communicate important updates through email, text, or posted notices.

12. Modifications to Terms

  • Little Hearts LA reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time with reasonable notice to parents/guardians.
  • Continued enrollment after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California and the United States.
